Why did I write this?

It's embarrassing when you forget somebody's Birthday, it always is. I found the need to keep a track of birthdates so that I knew when someone's birthday was near.
So in 2002-2003 (I was 14 then) I wrote BirthRem which was a DOS Version and it worked well. My Friends didn't like it only because it was a DOS App. So I wrote the same Application with a GUI, and called it BirthAlert as I included a Remind-on-Startup Feature.
As years passed, I realized that I could improve the design, reduce the Database File size and increase processing speed. But due to lack of spare time (or sheer laziness) I haven't been able to write BirthAlert again. So please don't email me pointing out improvements in my code.
